Kyle, 16 years old, and Mom.

"There once was a boy who stole my heart. He called me mom." Forever loved!

Kristen Rudd and Kyle

I met Kyle ten years ago when I was thirteen. A neighbor just a few steps across the street from my own property. We regularly started spending time together, although I was three years older. He'd come knock on my door & we'd play basketball or just hang out and talk. I remember we thought of ourselves as twins because we would sink shots from the same spot on my driveway.

When my parents were out, Kyle and I would play loud oldies and dance around the living room without a care in the world. I like to think I brought the carefree child out in him. He's always meant a lot to me. Kyle Thomas may you remember me well and the times we'd run about full of smiles. I love you so dearly, may that knowledge sink deep into your spirit and fill you with sunny day's everlasting.

Katie Rudd and Kyle

My fondest memory of Kyle Brennan is of a sweet faced boy with a shy smile. Kyle used to visit our home a lot when he was younger. He and my two youngest daughters had such a wonderful time laughing and talking. My heart is greatly saddened that he is no longer with us on earth. My hope is someday to see Kyle again and behold that heart melting smile.

Kyle was a very special person in my life while we were growing up, we understood each other. When I cry for Kyle I must remember that he is safe now. All of his pain has been taken away and he can finally be at peace.
I love you, Aunt Vicki, Peace will come.

Dear Victoria, Rick, Scott, & Sean
Words cannot express my sadness for your loss of Kyle. I remember him as a sweet, quiet fifth grader just as he was described at the service. An excellent artist and a real animal lover. Do I recall him having a pet gecko?

A memory of Kyle that has remained with me since then:
It was Kyle who introduced me to FAO Schwartz and every time I heard the store mentioned, I thought of him. Am I correct in remembering that he celebrated his birthday there when he was in my class? This is so uncanny ... My family and I were in NYC last weekend celebrating my birthday. As we walked past FAO Schwartz on Saturday (February 17th), I told my husband about Kyle. He and FAO Schwartz have been and will always be synonymous to me.

May God grant you comfort and strength at this time, knowing that Kyle is at peace and in God's care. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
